Frequently Asked Questions
  1. Do you provide any centerpieces for our lunch/dinner?
    Yes, the Lansing Center does provide complimentary bud vases for your lunch and complimentary globe and candle centerpieces for your dinner or reception.
  2. How long can a food buffet be available for our meal?
    Due to food safety concerns for our guests, most items will be removed after two (2) hours exposure time. From a food quality standpoint, we recommend a maximum of 1.5 hours.
  3. Can we add/delete from the Theme Breaks?
    Our Theme Breaks have been created to include our most popular requested items. Our Catering Sales Coordinators are always eager to assist you in customizing a Theme Break to fit your event theme or need. 
  4. Can we customize a menu for our conference/meeting?
    Yes, our Executive Chef would be happy to prepare a menu for your event. Please contact your Catering Sales Coordinator to get the creative process started.
  5. Can we request a special brand of liquor/wine?
    Depending on the requested product, we may be able to custom order specialty items. These items are typically considered special orders and not subject to cancellation. Our Catering Sales Coordinators will be happy to discuss special order terms and conditions that apply to this option.
  6. Can we take leftovers home with us?
    No, all leftover food/beverage products become the property of the Lansing Center. All food and beverage is to be consumed on the premise due to liability concerns and food safety concerns for our guests.
